QuietPeriod
Select the time interval between authentication failure and the start of a new
authentication attempt.
SuppTimeout
Select the time to wait for a response from a supplicant (user) for all EAP packets,
except for the Request/Identity packets.
ServerTimeout
Select the length of time to wait for a response from a Radius server.
MaxReq
Select the maximum number of times to retry sending packets to the supplicant.
ReAuthPeriod
Select the time interval between successive re-authentications.
ReAuth
Enable or disable reauthentication.
PAE System Control
To set the port authenticating settings, open the
Port Access Entity
folder, and then the
PAE System Control
folder.
Finally click on the
802.1X Capability Settings
link.

To set up the Switch’s 802.1X port-based authentication, select which ports are to be configured in the From and To fields.
Next, enable the ports by selecting
Authenticator
from the drop-down menu under Capability.
Click
Apply
to make your changes take effect.

The RADIUS feature of the Switch allows you to facilitate centralized user administration as well as providing protection
against a sniffing, active hacker.
