This command configures the NetBIOS scope id for Microsoft Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol (DHCP) clients. Use the no form of this command to
remove the configuration of NetBIOS scope id.

Usage Guideline
The Scope ID is a character string which is appended to the NetBIOS name for
all NetBIOS communications over TCP/IP. It provides a method to isolate a
collection of computers that can then only communicate with each other.
Example
The following is sample of configuring the NetBIOS Scope ID as the string
“alpha”.
Syntax Description
STRING
A character string. The maximum length is 18 characters.
switch#configure terminal
switch(config)#ip dhcp pool pool1
switch(config-dhcp)#netbios scope-id alpha
switch(config-dhcp)#
