OW TO USE CALL TRANSFER
The DVX-7090 Router provides for 2 types of transfer:
•
Attended (consultative) transfer when the transferor first contacts the transfer target
before leaving the call, and
•
Blind (unsupervised) transfer when the transferor just transfers the call to the called
extension and hangs up.
To use the transfer service the user should belong to a group authorized to use the Transfer
service (See the
Configuring groups
section for details).
A common transfer scenario unfolds as follows:
1.
User A calls user B
2.
User B answers the call
3.
User B wishes to transfer the call to user C (the sequence of events when user A
does the transfer to user C is the same).
4.
User B presses the Flash button to place user A on hold. (
Note:
If there is no Flash
button hitting the Flash key can be emulated by sequentially pressing * and # within
one second time.)
5.
User B dials user C (
Note:
The majority of phones require pressing # to complete
dialing
).
Further steps vary with the type of transfer (attended or blind.)
In case of a blind transfer:
6.
User B hangs up.
7.
User A becomes the calling party for user C and hears the ringback tone.
8.
When/if user C answers the call, a call session between A and C is established.
During an attended transfer:
6.
User B establishes a connection with user C
7.
User B is able to switch between user A and C by pressing the Flash button if any (if
there is no Flash button hitting the Flash key can be emulated by sequentially
pressing * and # within one second time.) User A and C do not hear each other.
Note:
If user B’s group has Conference permissions users A and C will be able to hear
each other.
8.
When user B hangs up, a call session between A and C becomes established.

OW TO MAKE CONFERENCE CALLS
The DVX-7090 Router supports 3 party conference calls only.
As setting up a conference involves the call transfer service, the user who is the conference
initiator must belong to a group with both Transfer and Conference permissions.
The 3-party conference scenario unfolds as follows:
