Logging on to the Web Interface
To access the Web Interface using the factory default settings, launch a web browser on the
external workstation computer and point the browser to the following IPv4 address:
192.168.10.1.
Note that the protocol must be https:// when accessing NetDefendOS for the first time (HTTP
can be enabled later. With HTTPS, NetDefendOS will send back its own self-signed certificate for
the encryption and the browser will ask the administrator to confirm that a security exception
should be made.
When communication with the NetDefendOS is successfully established, a user authentication
dialog similar to the one shown below will then be shown in the browser window.
Enter the username and password and click the Login button. The factory default credentials are
as follows:

Username: admin
•
Password: admin
If the entered credentials are correct, NetDefendOS will present the main Web Interface page in
the browser.
Note: Password caching is prevented
