clear log
Purpose
Used to clear the switch’s history log.
Syntax
clear log
Description
This command will clear the switch’s history log.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only
administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To clear the log information:
DES-6500:4#clear log
Command: clear log
Success.

show log
Purpose
Used to display the switch history log.
Syntax
show log {index <value_list>}
Description
This command will display the contents of the switch’s history log.
Parameters
index <value_list>

The show log command will display the history log
until the log number reaches the value specified by the value_list entry.
Restrictions None.
