config multicast filtering_mode
Purpose
Used to configure the multicast packet filtering mode for specific VLANs .
Syntax
config multicast filtering_mode [<vlan_name 32> | all]
[forward_all_groups | forward_unregistered_groups |
filter_unregistered_groups]
Description This
command
will
configure the multicast packet filtering mode for specified
VLANs on the Switch.
Parameters
<vlan_name 32>
−
Specifies a VLAN by VLAN name to set. If no VLAN is
defined here, the rule is applied to all VLANs
[forward_all_groups | forward_unregistered_groups |
filter_unregistered_groups]
– The user may set the filtering mode to any of
these three options.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the multicast filtering mode to filter unregistered groups on all VLANs.
DGS-3627:5#config multicast filtering_mode all
filter_unregistered_groups
Command: config multicast filtering_mode all filter_unregistered_groups
Success.

show multicast filtering_mode
Purpose
Used to show the multicast packet filtering mode as configured for the
VLANs.
Syntax
show multicast filtering_mode {vlan <vlan_name 32>}
Description
This command will display the current multicast packet filtering mode for
specified VLANs or all VLANs on the Switch.
Parameters
vlan <vlan_name 32>

Specifies a VLAN to display multicast filtering
status.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To view the multicast filtering mode for all VLANs:
