config router_ports
Purpose
Used to configure ports as router ports.
Syntax
config router_ports <vlan_name 32> [add | delete] <portlist>
Description
This command allows designation of a range of ports as being
connected to multicast-enabled routers. This will ensure that all
packets with such a router as its destination will reach the multicast-
enabled router

regardless of protocol, etc.
Parameters
add | delete –
Specify whether to add or delete ports as router ports.
<vlan_name 32>
−
The name of the VLAN on which the router port
resides.
<portlist>
−
Specifies a port or range of ports that will be configured
as router ports. The beginning and end of the port list range are
separated by a dash. Non-contiguous portlist entries are separated
by a comma. (ex: 1-3,7-9)
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this
command.
Example usage:
To set up static router ports:
DGS-3627:5#config router_ports default add 1-10
Command: config router_ports default add 1-10
Success.

config router_ports_forbidden
Purpose
Used to configure ports as forbidden multicast router ports.
Syntax
config router_ports_forbidden <vlan_name 32> [add | delete]
<portlist>
Description
This command allows designation of a port or range of ports as being
forbidden to multicast-enabled routers. This will ensure that multicast
packets will not be forwarded to this port

regardless of protocol, etc.
Parameters
<vlan_name 32>
−
The name of the VLAN on which the router port
resides.
[add | delete]
−
Specifies whether to add or delete forbidden ports of
the specified VLAN.
<portlist>
−
Specifies a range of ports that will be configured as
forbidden router ports. The beginning and end of the port list range
