System Log
The System log on the Switch can record event information in its own logs, to designated SNMP trap receiving stations, and to the
PC connected to the console manager. The
System Log
folder contains two main windows
System Log Host
and
System
Log
Save Mode Settings
.
System Log Host
The Switch can send Syslog messages to up to four designated servers using the System Log Server.
To view this window, click
Administration
>
System Log > System Log Host
, as shown below:

The parameters configured for adding and editing
System Log Server
settings are the same. See the table below for a description.

To set the System Log Server configuration, click
Apply
. To delete an entry from the
System Log Host
window, click the
corresponding
under the Delete
heading of the entry to delete. To return to the
System Log Host
window, click the
Show All
System Log Servers
link.
The following parameters can be set:

Server IP
The IP address of the Syslog server.
Severity
This drop-down menu allows you to select the level of messages that will be sent. The options
