8.3 Installation of the 19” subrack

The 1/2HU, 19” subrack is installed in any standard 19” rack. With the 4 enclosed screws the
front is directly screwed to the mounting bar of the rack.
For heat circulation, it is recommended to leave ½ HU space below and above the DL/PDL
subrack.
On the back side of the DL/PDL there are two IEC plugs for the redundant AC powering
available:
One AC cable is connected to the standard local AC power connection
One AC cable should be connected to the USP (Uninterruptible Power Supply) if
available
If no USP is available both power supplies are connected to the local AC power available. This
will prevent the Monitoring system of a malfunction in case of failure of the internal power
supply.
All Junction Boxes and Sensors are remotely powered with 48V DC.
