FAULTY DIAGNOSIS
Diagnostic Procedures
If you turn the key to
“
ON
”
position and step on acceleration
3 times within 20 seconds without starting the engine, all fault
codes stored in ECM will flicker.
If the acceleration pedal is having a problem, you may not
obtain the fault code through this method.
Fault code Engine Warning Lamp operation order
Fault codes consists of 3 digits. The beginning and the ending
code digits consists of 2 digits and the number is always 12.
Number 0 is not used.
The number represents the number of flickering while the
indication lamp stops in between operations.
For example, if the lamp flickers 3 times, it will be indicated
with number 3.
The numbers are differentiated by the time of the light flicker.
If two fault codes(3digits) are there, the flickering will be long.
The order of fault code appearing will be from low number to
high number. The priority or the order of fault detected will not
be related to the order of appearance.
Fault codes will flicker twice before the next code is indicated.
For example, if there are fault code 231 and 711, the order of
flicker display on the emergency warning lamp will be as
following.
The indication will be repeated again when the key is
turned to
“
OFF
”
position or on the engine start up.
