4.
Remove and discard the oil filter. Wipe off the filter
base. Make sure all of the old seal is removed.
5.
Put a small amount of clean oil on the seal on the
new filter. Install the filter by hand. When the filter
contacts the base, tighten it an additional 3/4 turn.
6.
Close the hood and seat assembly.
7.
Open the access door in the floor plate.
8.
Remove the dipstick/filter cap. Fill the transmis-sion
with oil. See “Refill Capacities” Install the dipstick/
filter cap.
9.
Start the engine.
10.
With the service brake applied and engine at low
idle, shift the transmission to forward and reverse to
fill the clutches.
11.
Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL. Apply the
parking brake.
12.
Remove the dipstick/ filter cap.
13.
Maintain the oil level between the Min and Max
marks on the dipstick/filter cap.
When the oil temperature is 40
°
C
approximately,
the cold side mark on the dipstick is applicable.
When the oil temperature is 80
°
C
approximately,
the hot side mark on the dipstick is applicable.
14.
Check for oil leaks at the filter and drain plug.
15.
Stop the engine.
