Interconnecting Multiple Smoke Alarms
These Smoke Alarms have a built-in module which enables 2 or more of the
same alarms to be linked together to create a network of alarms.
This means that if one of the alarms is triggered all the alarms will sound at
the same time.
NB it is recommended that the alarms are interconnected together before
attaching them to their mounting brackets.
Interconnect the Smoke Alarms as follows:
1.
Insert the battery as described above, the alarm will give a short beep to confirm
power up.
2.
Press and hold the test button for 5 seconds, the LED indicator in the button will
start to flash slowly to show the alarm is in wireless linking mode.
3.
Repeat the above process on a second alarm.
4.
Press the test button on one of the alarms only for 1 second
–
the LED indicator
will flash quickly three times to show the two alarms are now linked together.
The LED indicator will then begin to flash slowly.
5.
The LED indicator on the first alarm will stop flashing.
NB The above steps have to be completed within 1 minute.
6.
Leave the alarm until all flashing LED indicators have gone out.
NB To connect more alarms, repeat the above steps 1

6, up to a maximum of 24
alarms can be interconnected.
Testing the Interconnected Smoke Alarms
1.
Once the alarms are interconnected as above, test the system is working as
follows:

Press the test button on one of the alarms, the alarm will give three consecutive
beeps twice.
3.
After the first alarm has sounded the interconnected alarm(s) will give three
consecutive beeps nine times showing network is working correctly.
IF THE ALARMS DO NOT SOUND INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE IMMEDIATELY.
Alarm and LED Indicator Modes
•
Normal Operating Mode
In normal operating mode, the LED indicator will flash once every 40 seconds
•
Alarm Mode
When the alarm detects a certain concentration of smoke, the LED indicator will
flash and the alarm will emit a beeping alarm.
