•
Testing the Alarm
Press the test button to test the alarm at least once a week. The LED indicator
will flash and the alarm will emit three beeps to show the alarm is working
normally.
IF THE ALARM DOES NOT SOUND INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE IMMEDIATELY.
•
Low Battery Warning
If the alarm beeps and LED indicator flashes once every 40 seconds, the battery
is flat and needs replacing.
•
Device Failure
The LED indicator will flash twice and the alarm will beep twice every 40 seconds.
•
RF Pairing (Interconnecting Mode)
To enter interconnecting mode, press the test button for 5 seconds, the LED
Indicator will flash slowly.
•
RF Pairing (Interconnecting) Failure
If the Interconnecting has failed between alarms, the unit will generate two
“chirps”
and the LED indicator and will flash twice.
•
Hush State
Once the alarm sounds, press the test button to enter the alarm hush state, the
alarm will not sound for 9 minutes, however, if the smoke concentration is still
above the trigger point, the alarm will sound again.
NB
The hush state will not mitigate the fire risk. When any alarm is initiated,
please do check your house for any potential fire risk.
Resetting the Alarm
To reset the alarm, remove the battery then press the test button for 1 second,
then replace the battery.
Care and Maintenance
•
Press the test button to test the smoke alarm at least once every week.
IF THE
ALARM DOES NOT SOUND INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE IMMEDIATELY

•
Clean the smoke alarm at least once a year using a vacuum cleaner to keep it
clear of accumulated dust.
•
DO NOT
paint your smoke alarm, this may obstruct the smoke inlet and prevent
the alarm from working normally.
•
Clean outside of the Smoke Alarm with a clean damp cloth. Never clean with
harsh or abrasive cleaners.
•
DO NOT
submerge the Smoke Alarm in water or any other liquids.
