Inching & Braking Control Shaft -
Lubricate
1.
Lubricate two fittings for the inching and brake
pedal control shaft.
Horn and Lights (If Equipped) -
Check
1.
Press horn button, to determine if horn is
operational.
2.
Check and replace all defective gauges.
3.
Check all lights such as warning, directional,
backup, driving and flood lights for correct
operation. Replace all burned out bulbs.
Have repairs made if needed.
Engine Oil & Filter (B3.3 Diesel
Engine Only) - Change
B3.3 Diesel Engine crankcase
The percentage of sulfur in the fuel will affect the
engine oil recommendations. If the fuel has over
0.5% sulfur content, the CD engine oil must have a
TBN of 20 times the percentage of fuel sulfur (TBN
as measured by the ASTM D-2896 method). Your
oil supplier should be able to furnish the correct
oils.
1.
Operate lift truck a few minutes to warm oil.
Park the lift truck with the forks lowered, parking
brake applied, transmission in neutral and the
engine stopped.
2.
Raise rear of lift truck off ground and block
securely.
WARNING
Hot oil and components can cause personal
injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to
contact skin.
3.
Remove the crankcase drain plug and allow oil
to drain into a suitable container. Clean and
install drain plug.
