Replace LP Fuel Filter Element
(LP-Gas, Dual Fuel Engine Only)
Park the lift truck in an authorized refueling area
with the forks lowered, parking brake applied and
the transmission in Neutral.
1.
Close the fuel shutoff valve on the LP-Fuel tank.
Run the engine until the fuel in the system runs
out and the engine stops.
2.
Turn off the ignition switch.
3.
Scribe a line across the filter housing covers,
which will be used for alignment purposes when
re-installing the filter cover.

4.
Remove the cover retaining screws (1).
Fuel Filter (LP - Gas Engine Only)
Disassembly
1.
Remove top cover (2), magnet (3), spring (4),
and filter element (7) from bottom cover (5).
2.
Replace the filter element (7).
3.
Check bottom cover O-ring seal (6) for damage.
Replace if necessary.
4.
Re-assemble the filter assembly aligning the
scribe lines on the top and bottom covers.
5.
Install the cover retaining screws, tightening the
screws in an opposite sequence across the
cover.
6.
Open the fuel valve by slowly turning the valve
counterclockwise.
7.
Crank the engine several revolutions to open
the fuel lock-off. DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
Turn the ignition key switch to the off position.
8.
Check the filter housing, fuel lines and fittings
for leaks. Repair as necessary.
Testing Fuel Lock-off Operation
(LP-Gas Engine Only)
1.
Start engine.
2.
Locate the electrical connector for the fuel lock
3.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
4.
The engine should run out of fuel and stop
within a short period of time.
5.
Turn the ignition key switch off and re-connect
the fuel lock-off connector.
NOTE:
The length of time the engine runs on
trapped fuel vapor increases with any
increase in distance between the fuel
lock-off and the pressure
regulator/converter.
