2.2.2.8 Key switch
The keyswitch on the SINUMERIK 840D, 810D and SINUMERIK FM/NC controls has 4
positions to which protection levels 4 to 7 are assigned.
Functions can be assigned to keyswitch position by machine manufacture. Using machine
data it is also possible to set access to programs, data and functions to suit the user’s
requirements.
The keyswitch has three different colored keys which can be removed in the specified posi-
tions.
