Anti-Calc Function

The anti-calc function can remove the limescale and impurities from the water. It
is recommended this is performed regularly to prolong the efficiency of the steam
iron by following the steps below:

1.

Make sure the steam iron is unplugged

from the mains power supply and has

fully cooled

.

2.

Fill the water cup with 3/4 full, add descaling solution until water tank is to
MAX (follow instruction on descaling solution).

3.

Leave the solution in the water tank for 15 minutes, shaking occasionally, and
then empty it.

4.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the iron is descaled.

5.

Fill the tank with fresh water to rinse and empty.

Care and Storage

Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance, ensure that the steam iron is
unplugged from the mains power supply and has fully cooled.

Wipe the soleplate with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly, after pouring off

any remaining water. The body of the iron can also be wiped down with a soft
damp cloth, do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning products.

Empty the iron immediately after each use. Do not store the iron with water in
it.
Not emptying the water will damage the iron.

Non-Rewireable Mains Plug

If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one

(conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician. Never use a mains plug with the fuse cover missing.
If you need to remove the plug

DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS

 and then cut it

off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse
the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.
