EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
The emergency procedures hereafter supplement those of the standard
airplane described in Section 3 ”Emergency procedures” of the basic Pilot’s
Operating Handbook, when the TBM airplane is equipped with the option
”CHIP DETECTION SYSTEM” and with MOD70--0276--00.
Indication :
“CHIP”
amber CAS message lights on
On ground
Before engine start :
1 -- Do not start engine.
After engine start or after landing :
1 -- Return to parking area.
2 -- Shut down engine.
3 -- Inspect chip detector(s) and engine, if required.
In flight
1 -- Check and monitor engine parameters.
2 -- Land as soon as practical.
3 -- Shut down engine.
4 -- Inspect chip detector(s) and engine, if required.
