SECTION 1
GENERAL
This supplement supplies information necessary for the operation of the
airplane when the optional ”AIRBORNE” GWX 68 color weather radar
system is installed in the TBM 700 or TBM 850 airplanes equipped with
MOD70--0176--00 or MOD70--276--00.
SECTION 2
LIMITATIONS
These limitations supplement those of standard airplane described in
Section 2 ”Limitations” of the basic Pilot’s Operating Handbook.
On ground, the radar radiation is inhibited, when the landing gear shock
absorbers are compressed. However, it is important to obey the following
restrictions :
-- Do not operate the radar during refueling operations or in the vicinity of
trucks or containers containing flammables or explosives.
-- Do not allow personel within 12 feet of area being scanned by antenna
when system is transmitting.
Airplanes equipped with MOD70--0176--00
The ”GARMIN” G1000 Integrated Flight Deck Cockpit Reference Guide for
the Socata TBM 850 No. 190--00708--00 at its latest revision shall be readily
available to the pilot whenever the operation of the radar system is predicted.
Airplanes equipped with MOD70--0276--00
The ”GARMIN” G1000 Integrated Flight Deck Cockpit Reference Guide for
the Daher--Socata TBM 700 No. 190--01247--00 at its latest revision shall be
readily available to the pilot whenever the operation of the radar system is
predicted.
