[4] Booster heater operation and space heating off temperature
[4-00] and [4-01] are not applicable for installations with restricted
power supply condition mode.
Space heating off temperature
■
[4-02] Space heating off temperature: outdoor temperature
above which space heating is turned off to avoid overheating.
Booster heater operation
Applies only to installations with a domestic hot water tank.
The operation of the booster heater can be enabled or limited
depending on outdoor temperature (T
A
), domestic hot water
temperature (T
DHW
) or operation mode of the heat pump.
■
[4-03] Booster heater operation: defines whether the optional
booster heater operation is enabled (1) or has certain
limitation (0).
[4-03]=2, 3, or 4 is not applicable for installations with
restricted power supply condition mode.
Explanation of settings of [4-03]
Booster heater will/can only operate if domestic hot water mode
is activated (
w
).
■
[4-03]=0, then booster heater operation is only allowed
during "[2] Disinfection function" (see operation manual).
This setting is only recommended in case the capacity of the
heat pump can cover the heating requirements of the house
and domestic hot water over the complete heating season.
The result of this setting is that the domestic hot water will
never be heated by the booster heater except for
"[2]
Disinfection function" and "Powerful domestic water
heating" (see operation manual).
■
[4-03]=1, then booster heater heater operation is only
determined by booster heater OFF temperature (T
BH OFF
),
booster heater ON temperature (T
BH ON
) and/or schedule
timer. Refer to setting
.

Equilibrium temperature and space heating priority
temperature
This field setting is not applicable for installations with restricted
power supply condition mode.
[6] DT for heat pump domestic water heating mode/scheduled
storage and reheat domestic water heating
[6-03]~[6-08] are not applicable for installations with restricted power
supply condition mode.
WARNING
Be aware that the domestic hot water temperature at the
hot water tap will be equal to the value selected in field
setting [2-03] after a disinfection operation.
When the high domestic hot water temperature can be a
potential risk for human injuries, a mixing valve (field
supply) shall be installed at the hot water outlet connection
of the domestic hot water tank. This mixing valve shall
secure that the hot water temperature at the hot water tap
never rise above a set maximum value. This maximum
allowable hot water temperature shall be selected
according to the applicable legislation.
CAUTION
Make sure that the disinfection function start time [2-02]
with defined duration [2-04] is not interrupted by possible
domestic hot water demand.
CAUTION
■
Space heating/cooling always has priority over the
disinfection function.
The disinfection function is only possible when the
unit is not operating for space heating/cooling.
■
To allow the disinfection function, the schedule timers
must be used. Combine the disinfection function with
domestic water heating which is only possible during
disabled space heating/cooling interval. It is advised
to run the disinfection function for minimum 1 hour.
Refer to the example patterns of the operation
manual.
Refer to the operation manual for a detailed
explanation how to program the schedule timer.
■
When a room thermostat is used, the disinfection
function is not possible as long as the room
thermostat demands heating or cooling. In this case,
de-activate the room thermostat demand by its
schedule timer. Refer to the manual of the room
thermostat for a detailed explanation on how to
de-activate space heating/cooling by schedule timer.
