17.1 Ventilation Method
The ventilation method is mechanical ventilation using mechanical means and natural ventilation under natural conditions.
17.1.1 Natural ventilation

Ventilation uses the outdoor wind pressure and buoyancy created by
temperature differences between indoor and outdoor air. However,
because natural ventilation varies according to the natural environment, it
is not as effective as mechanical ventilation and cannot be expected to
have a substantial effect.

Because ventilation is forcibly performed by mechanical means, such as a
ventilator or blower, a large airflow rate of stable air can be obtained as
necessary compared to natural ventilation.
Maintaining negative pressure is necessary for ventilation of a room with
highly polluted air in order to avoid the outflow of polluted air to adjacent
rooms or hallways. (Class 1 Ventilation or Class 3 Ventilation) Likewise,
positive pressure is necessary to prevent the inflow of polluted air to rooms
requiring cleanliness. (Class 2 Ventilation)
