Control System
VAM-HVE/HVLT Series
33
1 group interlocking control (direct duct connection system)
Purpose • Function
Performs energy-saving interlocked control by duct connection of Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit and indoor unit of commercial multi
air conditioners (multi for buildings)/SkyAir that can take in fresh air.
Number of air supply grille can be reduced.
To prevent backflow of outside air into the air intake of indoor unit, Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit starts/stops linking with the fan
operation of the indoor unit.
POINT
Amount of outside air intake into the air conditioner should be approximately 20% or less of the airflow rate of the air conditioner.
(Too high intake amount may lead to lower performance or louder operating noise of the air conditioner.)
When a cassette type air conditioner is connected to Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit by duct connection, make a setting of duct direct
connection so as to disable the independent operation of Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit to prevent dust from falling from the air filter
of the air conditioner.
When operating Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit during intermediate periods, set the operation mode of the air conditioner to "fan”
mode and operate it a low fan speed.
24-hour operation setting and intermittent weak notch operation are not available for duct direct connection system.
Be sure to connect the ducts of Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit and indoor unit by one to one connection.
