Fan Control by CO

Sensor
Purpose
•
Functions
This is the function to automatically change airflow rate of Heat Reclaim Ventilator Unit according to the changes in CO
2
concentration
when the ventilation rate “Auto” is selected.
POINT
This function is not designed to maintain a constant CO
2
concentration in the room.
CO
2
level may exceed the base concentration depending on the operating environment, product installation conditions and the
model selected.
Airflow rate is not automatically changed during bypass mode operation.
Unit operation
Linear control
High notch operation for 20 minutes after the start of operation
CO
2
concentration is judged by the CO
2
sensor every 30 minutes.
Operating time of each notch is determined according to the CO
2
concentration at the time of detection.
(Operation pattern depending on CO
2
concentration is fixed)
When the detected concentration is 700ppm or less, continuous operation
is performed at low notch.
※
When the detected concentration is 550ppm or less, it is possible to
change the pattern from “low fan operation for 30 minutes” to “low fan
operation for 20 minutes/stop for 10 minutes” by field setting.
Notch control (Notch A, Notch B)
High notch operation for 20 minutes after the start of operation
The notch is determined according to the concentration at the time.
Once a notch has been decided, the notch is fixed for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes have elapsed, the notch is checked every 5 minutes based on CO
2
concentration and if the appropriate notch is
different from the existing notch, the notch is changed accordingly.

The CO
2
concentration mentioned in the
table is the concentration detected by the
sensor for automatic airflow rate control.
It may differ from the CO

※
1. This setting is made to shift the base CO

concentration used as a reference (unit: ppm).
※
2. This is the setting to enhance outside air cooling effect by increasing the airflow rate of bypass mode when the ventilation rate
“Auto” is selected.
