Operation sound (noise reduction measures)
1. The operation sound is an anechoic chamber conversion value that conforms to JIS standard (JIS B 8628), where one unit is
operated.
The noise transmitted from the main unit does not include the noise from the outlet grille. Therefore, the noise is usually larger than
the displayed value in the actual installation.
2. The air outlet noise is about 8 dB (models with a rated air volume of 150 to 500 m
3
/h or less) to about 11 dB (models with a rated
air volume of 650 m
3
/h or more) higher than the displayed value. Depending on the condition of the duct resistance at the installation
site, the fan rotation may increase which increases the noise from the outlet grille. Consider providing countermeasures for noise
when installing the unit.
3. Especially in large models (1,500 and 2,000 m
3
/h models), if the SA (indoor supply air) grille is installed near the main unit,

a large model, keep the main body and outlet grille as far apart as possible.
If the main unit is close to the outlet grille, consider the following:
p5SEOFSILENCERBOXESÛEXIBLEDUCTSSILENCERSUPPLYEXHAUSTGRILLES
• Distributed installation of outlet grilles
4. Especially when using the unit in a place with low background noise (classroom, etc.), consider the following measures for the sound
transmitted from the main unit.
•
Use of ceiling components with high sound insulation (high transmission loss)
•
Blocking transmitted sounds by adding sound insulation materials around the bottom of the source of the sound, etc.
Alternatively, consider installing the equipment in another area (corridor, etc.).
Considerations for the countermeasure
1. Most of the air outlet noise can be solved only on the SA (indoor supply air) side.

measures at SA side.

2. The noise reduction measures are more effective on the Heat Reclaim Ventilator unit side than on the supply/exhaust grille side.
