Display Management
Visiconn
®
Display Management is a web-based control system that enables authorized
operators to manage virtually all aspects of a digital display network from a web browser
on any computer connected to the internet. With Visiconn
®
Display Management,
operators can upload, manage, and schedule content. Operators can also collaborate
with advertisers and content creators, monitor the status of their display’s connectivity to
Visiconn
®
Display Management, and set access to control functions.
Visiconn
®
Display Management is used primarily with multi-display networks running
scheduled content with minimal operator interaction. Some common examples include
billboard companies, shopping centers, and quick-serve restaurants.
When using Visiconn
®
Display Management, VMPL content is created using the Dynamic
Content Editor in the Visiconn
®
interface.

Registration
A secure connection must be established for a player to be controlled by Visiconn
®
Display Management. Before beginning the registration process, ensure that the
following conditions are true:
• The player is connected to a functioning internet connection.
• The player is not already registered with Visiconn
®
Display Management.
•
The player has the correct date, time, and time zone configured in the Windows
®
system.
Use a Daktronics time server to sync to the correct time. The player must be set to within
five minutes of the time set for Visiconn
®
Display Management.
When
a new player is first connected to the
internet and all of the above prerequisites are true,
it will connect to Visiconn
®
Display Management
and retrieve a registration code. This registration
code must be entered into the Visiconn
®
web
interface to allow the display to be controlled by
Visiconn
®
Display Management. The code ensures
that the connection is authentic, authorized, and
secure for ongoing communication. This code
appears on the player output. Refer to
