9 Audio
The DMP-8000 series player supports audio playback to supplement its video and media
file playback capabilities. In most cases, audio playback is handled automatically
alongside its associated media playback with minimal audio-specific operator
interaction required. This section is intended to assist the operator with configuring the
necessary system settings.
Overview
When the player is not in internal keying mode, it can play audio in two different ways:
• Embedded Audio
- Audio is natively embedded with video files.
• Audio Clip
- Separate audio files are not embedded with video files.
Note:
Audio clips are used when no video is being played.
The player does not currently support playback of independently selected audio. A
video clip with natively embedded audio will only play the embedded audio. In this
case, independent audio cannot play.
When the player is in internal keying mode, it can play audio in two different ways:
• Embedded Audio
- If the video being passed through the player has embedded
audio, that audio will be played from the player.
• Assigned Audio
- If the video being passed through the player has no embedded
audio, separate audio can be assigned to play with the video.
