Various video-editing software tools can be used to create dynamic video content to play on the DMP-8000
player. This quick guide provides software settings to create optimal video content in H.264 codec format for
displays 3840 (w) x 1080 (h) or smaller, and using DMP-8000 version 6.2 or later.
If the display size exceeds a width of 3840 or if it exceeds a height of 1080, save content files as uncompressed
.AVI files or .MOV files with the animation codec (RLE encoding) or in another lossless format. In this case, use
the FFMPEG file converter program and refer to the FFMPEG File Converter Quick Guide (
DD2922229
).
If an alpha channel (or alpha key) is used to composite multiple pieces of content, use an uncompressed
.AVI file format or .MOV file with the animation codec (RLE encoding). In this case, do not use the FFMPEG file
converter program because alpha channels are not supported in MP4/H.264 files.
Note:
For display sizes that are not divisible by 2 (either width or height), increase this number by one when
creating content.
