Power Enclosure
The power enclosure is the same size as the power and control enclosure, but it contains
only power equipment such as power supplies and the DC terminal assembly. It pairs with
a separate control enclosure. Power enclosures can be either wall or pole mounted.
Control Enclosure
The control enclosure is the same size as the power enclosure, but it contains only
control equipment such as the DDMS controller and the auxiliary control panel (ACP).
It pairs with a separate power enclosure. Control enclosures can be either wall or pole
mounted.
336S Traffic Cabinet
The 336S traffic cabinet includes all the equipment needed to operate a DDMS site,
but it provides extra room for customer-provided equipment, such as communications
equipment. The 336S traffic cabinet can be either ground or pole mounted.
334 Traffic Cabinet
The 334 traffic cabinet includes all the equipment needed to operate a DDMS site, but it
provides more room than the 336S traffic cabinet for customer-provided equipment. 334
traffic cabinets are designed to be ground or pole mounted.
Laptop Interface Enclosure
The laptop interface enclosure (LIE) can be paired with a combination of enclosures or
traffic cabinets to provide a secondary control location. The LIE contains an ACP and
outlets. LIEs are designed to be pole mounted.
Cabinet Light
The DDMS cabinet is equipped with a fluorescent light, located on the top rack of the
cabinet. The door switch in the DDMS cabinet activates the light when the door opens.
DC Terminal Assembly
Signal and DC power route to the LED panel(s) from the DC terminal assembly. Control
enclosures do not have DC terminal assemblies, as connections to the LED panel(s) route
from power enclosures.
DDMS Controller
The Daktronics DDMS controller is the hub for DDMS management. It is responsible for
handling communications, interpreting sensors, performing diagnostics, and playing
messages on the LED panel’s modules.
The central controller creates messages and transmits them to the DDMS controller for
storage. Upon request from the central controller or the auxiliary control panel, the DDMS
controller locates the message to display and sends it to the LED panel.
Door Sensor
The DDMS cabinet and each LED panel are equipped with door sensors. The sensors
detect whether the doors are open or shut and report this information to the DDMS
controller.
Exhaust Fan Assembly
The exhaust fan assembly is located at the top of the DDMS cabinet, and it includes the
exhaust fan and a thermostat. The fan and thermostat keep internal components and
the interior of the DDMS cabinet cool.
