Expansion components/peripheral devices
Use only expansion components conforming with the technical
specifications. In addition, they must also comply with all local
regulations and requirements, e.g. with regard to safety and
electromagnetic compatibility.
Using unsuitable expansion equipment can violate these
regulations and/or the system could be damaged. If you are
unsure whether expansion components may be used, contact
the installer or service partner responsible for your area.
Do not move while in operation
Do not bump the unit or move it in a jerky motion while in
operation. Instruct the cleaning personnel accordingly if
necessary!
The components of the system, in particular the hard disk(s),
can be damaged through strong vibrations.
Ambient temperature
Overheating of the unit can damage it or impair it in its function.
The ambient air is drawn in to cool the unit. The ambient
temperature should not exceed 35° C (95° F) in order to ensure
sufficient cooling.
Ventilation
Overheating of the unit can damage it or impair it in its function.
Keep the ventilation slits of the unit free so that it can be cooled
sufficiently with fresh air.
Position the unit so that at least 10 cm distance remains free
between the ventilation slits (front, right-hand side, rear) and
adjacent objects/walls.
Risk from open sub-rack
Any contact with the components on the sub-rack (inside)
represents a risk if it is connected to the voltage supply. In certain
circumstances this may result in injuries or an error on the device.
If the sub-rack has to be opened, avoid contact with the inside
of the device as much as possible.
Risk from open power pack
Any contact with the parts of the power pack (interior) whilst the
device is connected to the voltage supply is dangerous and may
be fatal. If you need to open the power pack, disconnect the
mains plug before you open it.
