Brake System
The brake system is responsible for stopping the
vehicle. The brakes are operated by compressed air
supplied by an onboard compressor.
Component descriptions
Air Brake Compressor
The air brake compressor consists of a compressor
assembly driven by an electric motor with an internal
control unit. The motor is powered by high voltage,
while the control unit is powered by 24V DC low
voltage and communicates via a CAN network.
iAPU
The intelligent Air Processing Unit (iAPU) controls
the air brake compressor to maintain the brake
system pressure within the operational range. It also
incorporates a dryer function to remove moisture
from the compressed air. The iAPU is powered by
24V DC low voltage and communicates through a
CAN network.
Pneumatic Circuits
The brake system supplies compressed air to two
storage tanks via dedicated pneumatic circuits.
