Troubleshooting
DCDC no contact
Error Description
Possible Causes
Possible Solutions
VCU has not received any CAN
message from the DCDC within a
specified time interval.
1) Blown 24V fuse F3.
2) Blown 24V fuse F12.
3) Loss of continuity caused by
defective LV harness or
connector.
4) CAN communication problem.
1) Replace 24V fuse F3.
2) Replace 24V fuse F12.
3) Replace LV connector or
harness per Service Manual.
4) Resolve CAN communication
problem.
The DCDC also monitors CAN connectivity and will
raise its own error F0008 (DCDC fault reason 8) if it
detects a loss of communication. If this error
appears, it points to a problem with the CAN rather
than the DCDC power supply as the likely root
cause.
No Contact fault messages appear on the HMI
display and remain while the fault is active.
Historical No Contact fault messages can be found
in the HMI logs by selecting the MC43[2]log.
