Troubleshooting
If no external system was found responsible for
the failure and the root cause couldn’t be found in
the TM4 troubleshooting guide then the EHPS
motor controller is considered defective.
Replace EHPS motor controller.
Is there any visible
signs of degradation on
the wires?
Yes
No
Disconnect connector C34 from EHPS
motor controller.
Refer to the connector investigation
Defective wiring.
Replace wiring.
Inspect all connection points
between the EHPS motor controller
and the batteries.
Can you find any traces of
burnt or corrosion on the
connection points?
Yes
No
Clean connectors according to the
instructions on the maintenance
manual. If the defect can’t be solved
then replace the concerned system.

Replace the connector as described in the “Wire
Harness Connector Identification, Location, and
Service Chart” in the Service Manual
