Troubleshooting 

Supervisory Controller no contact 

Error Description 

Possible Causes 

Possible solutions 

VCU has not received any CAN 

message from the Supervisory 

controller within a specified time 

interval. 

1)  LV distribution fault. 

2)  CAN communication problem. 

 

1)  Troubleshoot specific error. 

2)  Resolve CAN communication 

problem. 

 

 

No Contact fault messages appear on the HMI 

display and remain while the fault is active.  

Historical No Contact fault messages can be found 

in the HMI logs by selecting the MC43[2]log. 

 

Note:

 The Supervisory controller and VCU 

are both connected to CAN A, B, C and D 

networks, but communication between the 

Supervisory controller and VCU occurs on 

CAN D.
