DHW recirculation
Substations with electronic control of the domestic hot water
circuit are prefabricated for DHW recirculation.
The circulation set is supplied assembled, incl. circulation pump
and electrically wired and ready to mount on the substation.
DHW circulation pump
The Akva Lux II VX3-E substations come standard with a Wilo-Star-Z
NOVA circulation pump, which is electrically connected to the ECL con-
troller from factory.
See chapter 14.2 on page 33 for more information about DHW
pumps.
13.0 Circulation pumps - Heating
The Akva Lux II VX2 and VX3 substations come standard with Wilo cir-
culation pump Wilo Yonos Para. If another pump type is used the Wilo
installation and operating instructions will be replaced by the installa-
tion and operating instructions for the pump in question.
Substation start-up / setting of pump
The pump is operated using the red operating knob. In turning the
knob the different control modes can be selected.
In a traditional radiator system the red operating knob must be set in
the left side control mode (1).
In floor heating systems and old radiator systems with large pipes and
radiators the red button must be set in the right side control mode (2).
Hereafter the pressure decreases to fit the building’s heating needs, - in
due consideration of cooling and power consumption.
Venting: The pumps have a built-in venting function, which can be
used when the system must be vented. To vent the system turn the
red button to select the symbol for air venting (middle position) (3),
after which the pumps run a venting routine of 10 minutes duration.
There may be noise during the air venting routine. When the 10 min.
has passed the pumps must be set according to the above instructions.

rating instructions:
