9.4 Checks after Commissioning
9.4.1 Testing the AC Drive after Commissioning
Context:
Before starting the motor, do these checks.
Prerequisites:
•
Before the tests, make sure that it is safe to do each test.
•
Make sure that the other workers near know about the tests.
Procedure
1. Make sure that all the START and STOP switches that are connected to the control terminals are in the STOP position.
2. Make sure that the motor can be started safely.
3. Set the parameters of group 1 (see VACON
®
All in One Application Manual) to agree with the requirements of the used application.
To find the necessary values for the parameters, see the motor nameplate.
Set these parameters at a minimum:
•
Motor nominal voltage
•
Motor nominal frequency
•
Motor nominal speed
•
Motor nominal current
•
Motor cos phi
4. Set the maximum frequency reference (that is, the maximum speed of the motor) to agree with the motor and the device that is
connected to the motor.
5. Do the following tests in this order:
A RUN test without the load, see
B Start-up test, see
9.4.2 RUN Test without Load
Do either Test A or Test B.
•
Test A: Controls from the control terminals
•
Test B: Control from the control panel

Context:
Do this RUN test when the control mode is I/O terminals.
