The product standard (EMC immunity requirements) IEC/EN 61800-3 + A1 has 5 categories. The VACON
®
AC drives are divided into 5
EMC classes that have equivalents in the standard. All VACON
®
NX AC drives comply with the standard IEC/EN 61800-3 + A1.
The type code tells which category requirement the AC drive complies with (see
3.4 Description of the Type Code
).
The category changes when these properties in the AC drive change:
•
the level of electromagnetic disturbances
•
the requirements of a power system network
•
the installation environment (see the standard IEC/EN 61800-3 + A1)
