HP – high pressure controller – switches off the dehumidifier, if the pressure in the cooling circuit gets too high.
The dehumidifier is restarted by manually resetting the HP controller. The HP controller is located behind the filter
grill at the front of the dehumidifier. The control lamp (triangle) lights up constantly in red.
Thermal relay – switches off the dehumidifier if the temperature in the compressor gets too high. The dehumidifier
is switched on again by manually resetting the thermal relay. The thermal relay is located on the central part of the
control panel. The control lamp (triangle) lights up constantly in red.
If for some reason the electric heating element is not switched off by the thermostat, two safety thermostats are
mounted which will switch off the unit at temperatures of 80°C and 100°C respectively.
7. Service and maintenance
The dehumidifier requires very little attention for trouble free running. All the necessary safety and control
functions have been built in. The fan with motor and the compressor have permanent lubrication and require no
particular maintenance.
7.1. Cleaning of the filter
The air inlet filters (3 pcs.) have to be cleaned at least once a month. These filters are sitting in filter grills on the
front and the sides of the dehumidifier. Each filter grill can be loosened from the dehumidifier and the filter be
taken out for cleaning. It can either be rinsed in tepid soapy water or cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
After cleaning, reinstall the filters and the filter grills on the front and the sides of the dehumidifier.
7.2. Cleaning the dehumidifier
Once a year all filter grills should be removed in order to check the inside of the dehumidifier. Dirt and dust is
removed by vacuum cleaning. The condenser in particular should be thoroughly vacuumed. If the finned type
evaporator is badly soiled, it may be washed in tepid soapy water.
8. Faultfinding
Dehumidifier does not work, control lamp (with lightning symbol) does not light up in green:
- Check the external fuses.
- Check that the power supply to the unit is OK.
NOTE!
Unplug the mains electricity cable before
opening the unit!
