Notes:
1) Any cable (FireWire, FireWire800, or USB 2.0) inserted
before the enclosure is
powered on
has priority over the other cables and will be the primary connection
method, i.e.: If the enclosure is connected via FireWire 800 before powering on
the enclosure, data will be transferred via FireWire800.
2) The enclosure should only be connected to a computer via one interface at a
time. Connection of the enclosure to a computer via two or more interfaces is not
recommended.
3) FireWire and FireWire800 support bus power, these enclosures can be powered
on without use of the AC adapter.
4) Due to a chipset issue of the SATA Hard Drive Enclosure model, the 1394
repeater functionality can be achieved via the 1394a port and one of the 1394b
ports, or both 1394b ports. The graphic below illustrates the repeater support.
