Using Macros to change the system set-up 

Press the silver button by the

 

Macro

 

label to jump to the Macro page. 

!

 

The 7 buttons on this page each send a series of commands (a macro) at timed intervals 
to the whole 4-box system. The commands will only be received properly if all the 

dCS

 

units in the system can “see” the IR beam from the Pronto for about 5 seconds after 
pressing the button. A swirling icon appears in the top left corner of the screen while 
commands are being sent.      

 

Macro page 

 

The top 2 buttons send a series of codes (a macro) to set up a 4-box 
system to upsample data from the Upsampler’s 

AES

 input to either 

176.4

kS/s or 

DSD

.  

 

The second row of 2 buttons sets the system to upsample data from 
the Upsampler’s 

RCA1

 input to either 

176.4

kS/s or 

DSD

 

The third row of 3 buttons sets the system to upsample data from the 
Upsampler’s 

USB

 input to either 

176.4

kS/s or 

192

kS/s or 

DSD

The 

Paganini

 4-box system responds similarly.

using the ProntoEdit Professional v2.4 program to change these macros or add your own macros to 
suit your system.
