Using the Printer and Laminator
Replacing the Card Hopper
If
the
entire
card
hopper
has
been
removed
from
the
printer,
reinstall
it
before
using
the
printer.
1.
Insert
the
hooks
on
the
card
hopper
into
the
slots
in
the
receptacle.
2.
Slide
the
card
hopper
down
until
it
clicks
into
place.
Adjusting Card Thickness
From
the
factory,
the
printer
is
set
to
use
cards
0.030
inch
(0.75
mm)
thick.
Follow
these
steps
to
set
the
printer
to
use
cards
of
a
different
thickness.
1.
Remove
the
card
hopper,
as
described
above.
2.
Turn
the
hopper
so
that
the
silver
dial
faces
you.
3.
Use
a
pointed
item
such
as
a
pen
to
slide
the
dial:
Counterclockwise
to
thinner
cards.
Clockwise
to
thicker
cards.
A
setting
of
1.0
mm
corresponds
to
cards
0.040
inch
thick.
A
setting
of
0.75
mm
corresponds
to
cards
0.030
inch
thick.
A
setting
of
0.5
mm
corresponds
to
cards
0.020
inch
thick.
A
setting
of
0.25
mm
corresponds
to
cards
0.010
inch
thick.
4.
Replace
the
card
hopper.

“Replacing
the
Card
Hopper”
above.)
5.
Set
the
card
thickness
on
the
Status
Monitor.
Refer
to
“Media
Setting
Tab”
on
page 44
.
6.
Test
the
new
setting
with
several
cards
to
make
sure
that
the
printer
picks
only
one
card
at
a
time.

before

thick
cards.
