The wire map results show the wire pairs of the cable to be wired “straight through”
with each pair being connected to the same connector pins at either end of the cable
(note the blue-colored lines).

diagram is a quick reference guide for standard wiring
configurations. If you know which wiring standard you are using for a particular cable or
site, a quick look at this diagram will help you determine whether the cable has been
properly wired.

Send Tone
locates wires in the wall, individual wire runs in a bundle or traces physical
routing through the facility. The toner feature requires a tone probe that will detect the
signal being emitted from the wire plugged into the
Cable Test Jack
on the
M.A.Ch.10/100. This feature is especially useful when doing Moves, Adds, and Changes
(MACs).
