5.14.1.2. Simple or randomized picture recording by field function
Using this option (see blue marker in

may record images as with previous option. In addition to

, you may randomize taking a picture using a percentage of images to be taken
– in
order to collect only a sample set of images. The percentage value corresponds to the ratio of im-
ages taken to images not taken when triggering the field function. The percentage may be chosen
between 1% and 99% - the default is 5%.
Example:
A value of 25% results in roughly every fourth image being taken.
By activating the check box “Despite setting for random sample always take a picture” (see red
marker in

), the randomization may be de-
catived, so that an image is taken always.

5.14.2.
Setting the storage size for camera images
When recording camera images they are being stored on the internal flash or the SD Card. The SD
card is preferred if installed. To adjust memory allocation for storing camera images please use the
section „Memory“ (red marker in

sign a percentage of the total memory (green marker in

). The percentage may range from 10% to 90%.
You should match the built-in memory (blue marker in

) to you device’s configuration to have a better estimate of the allocated amount of
memory. The device configuration is available from your device’s data sheet.

The image size depends on the compression ratio when storing PNG devices. When using BMP
files, the images size stays the same for all images.
