About the Summit Client Utility
Reference the QRG for details about the basic functions of this utility. After
completing an administrator login to the utility, you can perform these addi-
tional tasks:
•
Create, rename, edit, and delete profiles
•
Alter global settings, which apply to every profile
SCU provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for access to all of its functions.
Access to these functions also is available through an application programming
interface (API), which an application programmer can use to enable another
utility to manage the radio.
To initialize SCU:
1. Go to
Start> Settings > Control Panel.
2. Tap on the
Wi-fi
icon.
SCU Windows
SCU has five tabs: Main, Profile, Status, Diags (Troubleshooting), and Global
Settings. Tabs enable easy navigation. Each tab is described in more detail in
this section.
Main Tab
Reference Figure 2-25 on page
to view the features of the Main tab.
•
Enable/Disable Radio
: Select or deselect to enable or disable the radio.
•
Active Profile:
Displays the name of the active configuration profile.
An administrator can use the selection list to select a different profile.
•
Association Status:
Indicates if the radio is associated to an access point
and, if not, what the radio’s status is.
