MSCHAP (PEAP-MSCHAP), PEAP with EAP-GTC (PEAP-GTC),
LEAP, and EAP-FAST

Encryption: Specifies the type of key used to encrypt and decrypt
transmitted data and how that key is specified or derived. Encryption
options include:
- WPA2 or WPA with dynamic keys (derived from the EAP authenti-
cation process)
- WPA2 or WPA with pre-shared keys
- Static WEP keys
Consult the Summit User’s Guide for details on all profile settings, including
security settings.
Status Tab
The Status tab shown in Figure 2-27 on page
provides status information
on the radio. Status items include IP address and MAC address for the client
radio, IP address and MAC address for the AP, signal strength, channel, trans-
mit power, and data rate. A sample Status tab is shown in Figure 2-27 on page
.

Client info:
Name of active profile, client name, client IP address, and
client MAC address
•
AP info:
AP name, AP IP address, and AP MAC address
•
Connection info:
Channel, transmit power, and bit rate
One status item, the radio association state, is shown on both the Status tab
and the Main tab. Potential values are: Down (not recognized), Not Associ-
ated, Associated, or [EAP type] Authenticated.
