INITIAL ADMINISTRATOR LOGIN AND LICENSING
To Gain Access to WebSentinel PLUS:
1. Click
the
Firefox Web Browser
icon on the desktop to open the
browser.
2. Enter the IP Address of the server (created in
step 9
above) in the
browser address bar to access the WebSentinel PLUS
Login
window.
3.
If the IP Address (URL) for the server does not match the default in the
WebSentinel PLUS software, an
Access Denied
window appears.
4. Click on the
Server IP Address Config
link. The
Server IP Address
Config
window opens.
5. Under
IPAddress.properties
, enter the server IP Address in the
New
text field, and click
Update IPAddress.properties
.
6. Under
Sites IP Address
, select your site from the
Update Site IP
Address
drop-down list, enter the server IP Address in the text field,
and click
Update IP Address in DB
.
NOTE:
The
Global Master Database IP
can be set
as localhost if the server is not in
linked
or
Enterprise
mode.
If it is, then that field must be set to the IP
Address of the WebSentinel PLUS server that serves
as the
Master
.
7. Click
Reboot Server
.
8. After the server reboots, click the
Firefox Web Browser
icon on the
desktop to open the browser.
9. Again enter the IP Address of the server in the browser address bar.
The WebSentinel PLUS
Login
window opens.
10. The system administrator can log into WebSentinel PLUS using the
default
User ID
Admin
and
Password
Admin
.
Upon initial log in, the
License Management
window will appear.
11. Obtain a
License Key
by sending an email to
swlicense.automation@datalogic.com
, and include the following
information:
Name of the company or reference person to which the product
will be licensed.
Product Key displayed on the License Management window.
Product serial number found on the software package cover.
You will then receive a email reply with the
License Key
.
12. When you receive the email with the new
License Key
, copy the key
and paste it in the
License Key
field of the
License Management
window.
13. Click
Update License Key
.
It is recommended that the system administrator immediately change
the Administrative password and set up system users
(see the
WebSentinel PLUS User’s Manual
).
System users can then obtain a
User ID
and
Password
from the system
administrator.

CE COMPLIANCE
CE marking states the compliance of the product with essential
requirements listed in the applicable European directive. Since the
directives and applicable standards are subject to continuous updates, and
since Datalogic promptly adopts these updates, therefore the EU
declaration of conformity is a living document. The EU declaration of
conformity is available for competent authorities and customers through
Datalogic commercial reference contacts. Since April 20th, 2016 the main
European directives applicable to Datalogic products require inclusion of an
adequate analysis and assessment of the risk(s). This evaluation was
carried out in relation to the applicable points of the standards listed in the
Declaration of Conformity. Datalogic products are mainly designed for
integration purposes into more complex systems. For this reason it is under
the responsibility of the system integrator to do a new risk assessment
regarding the final installation.
