PROGRAMMING LABEL
FIELDS
Each field is identified by a sequential number which is automatically assigned to it when creating
it. In case that one field is deleted, the successive ones will automatically be updated so that no
field identification number is left empty.
Attention
:
The field identification no. (which is always shown on the display right top
side) should not be confused with the type no. of field. The field
identification number is assigned automatically with no reference to field
position or contents, and cannot be changed whereas the number
corresponding to the type of field is to be selected and it signals the type of
data included in the same field.
If a new field has to be added to one label, position the cursor on the field which follows the last
programmed one and change the type of field from
BLANK
to a new one.
To delete a field position the cursor on it and then change the type of field into
BLANK
. All the
successive fields will automatically be renumbered, and the successive field (which has taken the
same identification no. of the deleted field) is visualised.
When one field is modified - even by changing the type of field, its identification no. is kept.
After selecting one field (regardless to the fact that it is a new one or not), by pressing
<ENTER>
you can access programming of its parameters. For moving from one parameter to the next one use
<ENTER>
or the keys
<

>
and
<

>
. For setting a field parameter, make use of the specific keys as
required but never forget to confirm your entered data by the key
<ENTER>
.
To end the programming of a specific field and move to another one, use the
<
EXIT
>
key after
confirming the last modification introduced.
As entering the programming mode of any field, the first selection to be made is that concerning
the type of field as displayed hereunder:
4 0 L A Y O .
f
f
F I E L D
c c
<

t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t
where:
ff
= label layout identification no.
cc
= field identification no.
nn
= type of field no. (
0
for a blank field)
tttttt
= description of field (
BLANK
if it is empty)
Now you can select if a new type of field is required by using the keys

, as detailed on
the previous page. Confirm you selection by the key

and then proceed with setting the
field position as well as the other parameters specified for the field being selected. The key

can be used at any time for leaving programming of the current field and skip to another field.
