DN200 User Manual Rel 1.0
In this configuration (2) powered Ethernet devices (typically cameras) may be powered. Output voltage
of the Ethernet ports is equal to that of the external supply used.
Caution:
Do not exceed 15.4 Watts load on each Ethernet port.
1.17.3 Wiring an external supply.
The DN200 is supplied with a power supply. If you wish to use your own supply, wire the supply using
the DC plug provided with the DN200. A cable with a weather resistant jacket should be used, with a
diameter that provides a tight fit with the connector’s boot. The center pin is positive.
Note:
When mating the power plug to the jack on the DN200, it is important to make sure that
the red O-ring is inserted. This assures a weather resistant connection between the plug on the
cable and the jack on the DN200.
1.18 Connecting the Optional External Power Injector (9004H49000)
Caution:
Do not install the indoor power injector module outdoors. The unit is for indoor
installation only.
Caution:
If the DN200 is equipped with an optional internal POE, make sure that the external DC
power supply is not connected to the DN200 12-48V power jack before using the External POE. Using
both may result in damage to the DN200.
Note:
The DN200’s Ethernet port does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE) based on the IEEE
802.3af standard. Do not try to power the unit by connecting it directly to a network switch that
provides IEEE 802.3af. Always connect the unit to the included power injector module.
