7.6 Vent Engine
The Vent Engine is located at the rear of the breathing system. As with the
electronic circuit boards and the power module, each of the pneumatic
subassemblies can be removed without having to remove other components.
The pneumatic subassemblies are:
• Gas inlet valve (GIV)
• Flow control valve
• Inlet filter
• Mechanical over pressure valve (MOPV)
• Non-relieving pressure regulator
• Free breathing valve
• Drive gas check valve
1. Twin tube assembly
2. Gas Inlet Valve (GIV)
3. Lifter hex screw
4. Gas supply line
5. Drive gas check valve
6. Flow control valve
7. Mechanical overpressure relief valve (MOPV) — original style shown
8. Pressure regulator
