Bleeding the air out of the hydraulic system
During packing and transport, air can become trapped in the hydraulic system causing
the jack to operate erratically and reduce its performance. Bleed the jack as follows:
1. Make sure the jack is on a level surface.
2. Check the oil level as directed in the
Checking and topping up the hydraulic oil
section above.
3. Pump the lifting arm all the way up and down 6 or 7 times in a row.
4. Recheck the oil level and top up the oil if necessary.
Storage
When storing the jack, always make sure that the jack lifting arm and saddle are
fully lowered.

Care and maintenance
Checking and topping up the hydraulic oil
1. Twist the handle anticlockwise until
the release valve is fully open and
the saddle of the jack is completely
lowered.
2. Clean the area around the oil filler plug
to prevent contaminates from entering
the hydraulic system.
3. Unscrew the oil filler plug.
Note:
The other cap covers the safety
overload valve. Do not open the safety
overload valve, it is factory set and must
not
be adjusted.
4. The oil level should be up to the bottom of
the thread in the oil filler port. Top up the oil
using hydraulic jack oil (SAE 5 W).
5. Screw the oil filler plug back in.
