Special safety instructions
The steam iron may be used by children
over 8 years old and people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, as
long as they are supervised or have been
instructed in the safe use of the equipment
and have understood the risks involved.
Never leave the steam iron unattended while
it is connected to the mains. Make sure that
the steam iron and cord are placed out of the
reach of children under 8 years of age when
the steam iron is plugged in and while it is
cooling down.
Children must be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the steam iron.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be
carried out by children.
If the cord becomes damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similar quali� ed person for safety
reasons.
The steam iron must not be used if it has
been dropped, shows signs of damage or is
leaking.
Do not submerge the steam iron in water or
other liquids.
Unplug the steam iron before you � ll the
water reservoir with water.
Be aware of the risk of burning/scalding
when using the steam iron. Do not touch
the hot surfaces of the steam iron with your
hands and do not place the steam iron close
to combustible objects.
The steam from the steam iron is very hot
and therefore dangerous. Never spray steam
directly at people or animals.
If you need to put the steam iron down while
you are ironing, set it down upright on its
base on a stable surface that can tolerate the
heat from the steam iron.
Unplug the steam iron when it is not in use
or if you need to leave it unattended, even
for a short while.
Do not carry the steam iron by the cord. Do
not use the cord as a handle. Do not pull
on the cord. Make sure that the cord is not
trapped in doors or lies on or is pulled over
sharp edges, corners or hot surfaces.
The steam iron is not intended for
commercial use or use outdoors.
Do not connect the steam iron to an
on/off timer or other equipment that can
automatically switch on the appliance.
